RACE FANS HEAD FOR THE ABU DHABI TOUR FAN ZONE IN YAS MALL

Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, 9 October 2015 – The inaugural Abu Dhabi Tour (8-11 October 2015), organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in partnership with RCS Sports and Events, got underway yesterday. In parallel with the race, at 10am yesterday morning, the Abu Dhabi Tour Fan commenced operations in the vast Yas Mall on Yas Island, today's stage finish. 

Open from 10am to Midnight yesterday and today, and from 10am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday, the Fan Zone consists of a Start Village with an info point, a bike lab, children's workshops, and sponsor booths with a wide range of participation and interactive activities.

Among many other things, fans can watch the TV program "LIVE form ADT" live on set. They can enjoy Sportainment activities by the brilliant Che Cirque, a Brussels-based street circus whose clowns, jugglers and acrobatic cyclists use humour, circus techniques and poetry to captivate audiences wherever they travel.

A photo booth with a variety of cycling-based props allows visitors to pose before a green screen and then print a photograph of themselves against the Abu Dhabi skyline.

More active fans can take part in morning warm-up exercises, and a range of activities like a session on the Smoothie Bike, a bike trainer fitted with special blenders calibrated to produce a delicious fruit smoothie as you ride, or the amazing CycleOps virtual bike trainer, programmed with real routes all over the world, even when you can’t get out.
